CES (Credentials Evaluation Service)

Most of the State Boards now require CGFNS (link to CGFNS) or CES before they will approve you to sit the NCLEX exam. Please check with the State Board where you plan to apply for specific requirements.

The same group that does CGFNS handles CES. They analyze your credentials and compare them to US standards. If you have CGFNS and register with a State that requires CES (e.g. Maryland) you will still have to pay the fee and have a CES evaluation of your transcripts done.

You should be sure to check with the State Board to see what level of "credentialing'" they require. Typically it will be the "Healthcare Profession and Science Course-by-Course Report." The fee for this level of credentialing is currently $225.
