 GENERAL
INFORMATION
Gulf Diagnostic Center (GDC) opened on 28th July 1996. Located
in Abu-Dhabi, GDC is one of the most advanced diagnostic centers
in the region, providing patients with a regionally accessible,
international standard diagnostic service and treatment within one
facility.
SERVICES
The GDC has three diagnostic divisions: Cardiology, Pathology
and Radiology. Each division equipped with the latest technology
and operated by physicians trained at world recognized institutions.

The cardiology department qualifies to conduct test such as ECG/EKG,
24 hours EKG Monitoring, 24hour Blood Pressure Monitoring, Nuclear
Stress Test, Stress EKG and Echocardiography.
GDC advanced laboratory is equipped to conduct the routine and
sophisticated examinations such as Microbiology, Biochemistry, Cytology,
Hematology, Histology, Serology, Virology, Immunology, PCR and Allergy
tests.
The Medical Equipment include:
Nuclear medicine, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, MRI, CT Scan, Digital
X-ray, Ultra Sound, Bone Densitometry, Endoscopy Unit and a Lithotripsy
Machine.
TELECONFERENCING
The Gulf Diagnostic Center has affiliations with a number of overseas
medical institutions that provide access to international expertise.
GDC has installed Teleradiology,
Teleconferencing and the Mayo Lab Link, which enables the laboratory
to draw on the expertise of the Mayo Clinic laboratories in the
US.
PREVENTION PROGRAM
GDC has developed health screens program which include a full physical
examination, consultation and a series of tests. The purpose of
this program is to identify problems at an early stage and take
action to avoid illness. Moreover, GDC launched the Immunization
Program for both Adults and Children (including HiB).
