 GENERAL
INFORMATION
A new General Community Hospital to provide medical service to
local population. Located about 50 km from Abu-Dhabi city. It is
the latest of the modern hospitals to open under the General Health
Authority in Abu-Dhabi. Al-Rhabah Hospital is halfway between Abu-Dhabi
and Dubai cities (approximately 45 minutes drive from each).
Al-Rahbah is a 142 bed new hospital with a VIP wing and most Medical
and Surgical services scheduled to open late March 2003. Services
to include:
- General Surgery
- Internal Medicine
- Orthopaedics
- Paediatrics
- Maternity
- Emergency Medicine
- Ophthalmology
- ENT
- Radiology
- Dermatology
- Dentistry
- Anaesthesia
- Critical Care
- Out Patients Clinic
PHYSICIAN REQUIREMENTS
Consultant
Relevant US Board certification or equivalent* with 5 years experience
after this Board / equivalent. Must be fluent in English and preferably
in Arabic. Ideal candidates are those with an open minded approach,
patience and willing to accommodate the needs and requirements of
the patients in this local community. Willing to roll-up sleeves
and get involved. A team player with a positive attitude
Specialist
Relevant US Board certification or equivalent* with 3 years experience
after this Board / equivalent. Must be fluent in English and Arabic.
Ideal candidates are those with an open minded approach, patience
and willing to accommodate the needs and requirements of the patients
in this local community. Willing to roll-up sleeves and get involved.
A team player with a positive attitude
Medical Officer
Relevant US Board certification or equivalent* . Must be fluent
in English and Arabic. Ideal candidates are those with an open minded
approach, patience and willing to accommodate the needs and requirements
of the patients in this local community. Willing to roll-up sleeves
and get involved. A team player with a positive attitude
US Board Equivalent*: Fellowship / Membership
from UK, New Zealand, Australia and Canada, German Facharzt, PhD
/ Speciality Diploma from Scandinavian countries, DIS from France.
PHYSICIAN BENEFITS
Benefits include:
- Vacation Time: 35 days + Public Holidays
- Study Leave: 10 days + 2 travel days
- Housing: up to UAD* 140,000 p.a. (to rent own accommodation)
- Furniture: Up to UAD* 40,000** (UAD 35,000 if on unaccompanied
contract)
- Education Allowance: UAD 12,000 p.a. per child up to 4 children
under the age of 18 years
- Ticketing: Business class for physician and family: spouse and
up to 2 children under 18 years
- Transportation: Allowance paid in addition to basic salary
- Working Hours: 48 hours per week! 5 days a week!
- Medical Insurance: Provided
- Salary: Negotiable! The range is between US $5,500 and US $8,000
per month
* US $1.00 is about UAD 3.67
** This is budgeted for a 3 years use. If resigned prior to 3 years,
balance will be prorated and
paid back. After 3 years an extra allowance for "wear and tear"
replacement is payable.
NURSE REQUIREMENTS
Assistant Director of Nursing (OR
and Outpatients)
Formal Nursing Education (BSN or AA Diploma) with 7 years of experience
after Registration in USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany,
France, Scandinavian countries, France. Two to 3 years experience
in management / supervisory position is essential. Must be fluent
in English and knowledge of the Arabic Language is an advantage!
Nursing Supervisor (OR & Outpatients)
Formal Nursing Education (BSN or AA Diploma) with 5 years of
experience after Registration in USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand,
Scandinavian countries. Two to Three years experience in management
/
supervisory position is essential. Must be fluent in English and
knowledge of the
Arabic Language would be valuable.
Charge Nurse / Head Nurse
(Med/Surg, NICU, Paeds, Obs/Gyn, Outpatients, OR)
Formal Nursing Education (BSN or AA Diploma) with 4 years of
experience after Registration in USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand,
Scandinavian countries. One year experience in management / supervisory
position is essential. Must be fluent in English and knowledge of
the Arabic
Language would be valuable.
NURSE BENEFITS

- Contract is Single, but married candidates can sponsor their
spouses

- Salary:
ADON: UAD* 14,000 + Allowance UAD2,000 p.m.
Supervisor: UAD* 12,000 + Allowance UAD2,000 p.m.
Charge / Head Nurse UAD* 10,000 + Allowance UAD2,000 p.m.
- UAD 2,000 allowance is: 1,500 Transportation & 500 utilities.
